About Me
Hi, I am Ma. Glenda P. Ong, your mathematics teacher. This is my second year of teaching at Xavier School, and my nth year of teaching in various private high schools and colleges in the Philippines. I also spent four years teaching middle school students in Baltimore City. I earned my Master's in Mathematics at the Ateneo de Naga University and in Special Education at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
I believe in my role as a facilitator of learning in a positive environment where students are allowed to learn as much as their abilities will allow. In my class, responsibility, compassion, and dedication are of utmost importance. At the end of the year, I do not expect my students to be math wizards but I want them to emerge as better persons.
Aside from teaching, I love the outdoors and I try to hike, climb, snorkel, or surf whenever I can. I'm an incurable optimist whose dreams include winning an Olympic medal in swimming but can't swim, getting a Palanca but is too lazy to write, and simplifying life but is too complicated.
